Aims & Scope
The Advanced Spine Journal (ASJ) has been published on a quarterly basis since January 2012. From 2023 and on, the journal moved to continuous article publication (CAP) model, so our publication is one volume, one issue per year in a CAP model. The ASJ is fully sponsored by and is the official journal of the Egyptian Spine Association. The ASJ is an international and multidisciplinary open access journal for the study of spinal disorders including diagnosis, operative and non-operative therapy, emerging clinical and research issues. ASJ provides spine researchers and clinician with high-quality, ethical, and evidence-based original, peer-reviewed articles on research related to spine and spinal cord disorders including basic science and clinical investigations to ensure adequate patients care, education, and professionalism. As a multidisciplinary journal, the ASJ publishes articles in areas on lumbosacral up to craniocervical spine including neuroscience, disc and joint research, bone and mineral research, bio and industrial technology, pain research, clinical, imaging, therapeutic techniques, anesthesia, rehabilitation, radiotherapy, oncology, spinal cord, and peripheral nerve diseases.
The ASJ publishes full-length articles (in the form of Clinical Studies and Basic Science papers), Technical Reports, Review Articles, Case Reports, Letters to the Editor and several other special features. The ASJ welcomes valuable basic and innovative technology research articles introducing cutting edge research of fundamental sciences and technology in clinical spinal disorders. All submissions are accepted with the understanding that they have not been, and will not be, published elsewhere substantially in any format. Also, there should be no ethical concerns with the content or data collection. ASJ reserves the right to request any research materials on which the paper is based.
